Where's best to buy a 'homemade' quiche?!

Postby Izmum » Wed May 09, 2018 9:18 pm

I've been asked to make and bring a couple of medium sized quiches for my MIL's birthday party this weekend. I can't make them (for various and varying reasons!) so was wondering where might be a good place to buy some that are nicer or more 'homemade' looking than the ones you get in boxes in the supermarket. Waitrose Entertain takes 6 days, which I don't have... help!

Get your husband to do them!
Im sure he’s say he’s not got time either....
Is this the MIL asking for homemade stuff ? That would annoy me

Anyway, Iocally, wonder if the breasdstall do whole quiches they cut up?
Otherwise the Spanish cafe in Webb’s road?
Gail’s only so small ones I think.

If you have a ottolenghi cafe your work perhaps.
Alternatively, get the best quality super maker one and job done!
You could always rough it up a bit for the homemade look .

Thank you petal, really great ideas!

(It's my rather hapless FIL who is asking for them. Husband and I are running around like headless chickens this week ticking off the last-minute requests :D )

Look no further than 'Blackbird' on Hildreth Street. SO lovely!

Enjoy the party.

Tart on The Pavement, Clapham Common - or there's a French cafe next door (can't remember what it's called) that also makes fresh quiches every day.

Enjoy the party!
