Hi there... Like you I also booked on a bit of a whim. The dentist seemed nice at first however by the end of the appointment I found her fairly annoying in her manner and felt like she was just out to get as much money as she could and rushed us out. The fact that she recommended a tooth gel for my 3 year old son which I bought without checking and later realised was £17 just confirmed this! I definitely wouldn't recommend.

I have since signed up when BDC dental in Balham, the dentist was very thorough and even the kids seemed more relaxed in the appointment. Bonus is that they do NHS appointments so it's free for kids.

You might feel differently to the way I did and regardless it's not that she was a bad dentist in any way so for one appointment it's worth giving a try! Hope it goes ok!

I would definitely NOT recommend Indigo Little. A few years back I had some crowns to replace and they completely messed them up - the custom made ones didn't fit and the dentist made the worst temporaries I have ever had (and I have had a few)! I had to send a "cease and desist" letter from my lawyer in the end, the service was so appalling. That aside (even), they have no respect for anyone's time (always late even when there was no patient before me) and yes I found the dentist's manner extremely insincere and arrogant. They do not add any value to our local area and in fact I am surprised they are still in business.

Would avoid if possible I was a patient for a few years and found them to be unprofessional, dishonest and seemingly after your money only. I have since changed dentists and wonder why I didn't do so sooner. Proceed with caution!!

Oh my goodness, after seeing such glowing reviews on another posting, I thought I was the only one. My experience was the same as those above I’m afraid.
I wouldn’t recommend.

I think these comments speak volumes. Don’t go there!!!

I think I have a good nose for the smelly stuff. Went there about 3 years ago and they claimed that I have a problem where I grind my teeth and that I need to buy a mouth guard to wear at night to protect my teeth (costing hundreds of pounds). They also said that an old filling needed to be replaced which I hadn’t had any problems with.

I was stunned as I get dental check ups regularly and none of my prior dentists had said a word. I was very suspicious of the online reviews and felt they were just trying to fleece me. I went to Ten Dental on Balham who said there was nothing abnormal about my teeth and to me, confirmed that I was right to be suspicious of their super reviews online and their sense of superiority.

I told Mrs BB that I felt they were dodgy and ripping people off - she thought I was wrong. Then they also said she needed the mouth guard thing! She came to my conclusion quite quickly.

Been very happy with Ten Dental ever since.

Wow, Balhambloke, I read this in disbelief - I had exactly the same experience, the exact same advice.  Luckily I didn't fork out the £1000 plus I was quoted for the mouth guard (subsequently had made at my new dentist for a few hundred pounds instead) but unfortunately went through with the filling replacement which was done so badly I ended up having to elsewhere to get it fixed.

I had the mouth guard thing done to me too! On top of being seen late, being talked to in an insincere and patronising way, not being told about "hidden" costs, etc.
I'm glad to find out I wasn't the only one. Am also a satisfied customer of ten dental now.

Were your crowns done by someone else at Indigo Little, perhaps a different dentist? I know that there have been specialists who also have worked at the practice in the past. However, Dr Little seems very attentive to detail. I had some beautiful work carried out on my front teeth by her over the past 3 years  and I am very pleased with her work.My kids love going to the practice too..

I’m afraid the crown that Dr Little made me last year has come out twice already this year. I’m now having it replaced by another dentist.

Dear Bel35,

I am sorry to hear that.

We offer a full guarantee on all of our work.We have had only one failed crown last year which was because the person concerned was grinding thier teeth at night. If you have had one of our crowns fail, because of a fault in craftsmanship or cementation and do not wish to have it rectified by us, please do get in touch with the practice and we can arrange a full refund for you.

Kind regards,

Indigo Little

Dear BalhamBloke,

Teeth grinding or Bruxism is physically evident on teeth. When we diagnose teeth grinding, we take photos or 3D scans to show our patients the signs of tooth wear etc. We always show evidence, so that it is clear to our patients, why we have reached such a conclusion. In London, tooth grinding is very common. However, treating Teeth Grinding is not as common as in America, Canada or Australia, for instance, as well as most of our European Counterparts.

As time goes on, the effects of tooth wear due to grinding become worse, with front teeth becoming shorter and function being slowly affected. As a preventative practice, we feel that it is our duty to discuss the options available to treat this issue. It is left entirely up to our patients as to whether they wish to take up our advice.

I am sorry that you felt that we were not to be trusted. We try our best to be transparent about the care that we recommend, and take this duty very seriously.

The Dentists at Ten Dental are professionals and therefore equally likely to diagnose and treat this condition when present.

Pleased to hear that you have found a dentist that you are happy with.

Best wishes,

Indigo Little
