Wood burning stove

Postby Bunnypigeon1 » Sun Sep 09, 2018 9:02 pm

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of having a wood burning stove installed? Who did you use, how much did it cost, etc? Thank you!

I would like one ... oh yes. Pizza oven and giving a nice woody flavour to food

But I think you need to look at what Michael Stove says

Basically saying they are very bad for the environment and could become heavily regulated

We have one. It’s fabulous! Used Black Cat Chimneys to install and they were very good. It depends on how much you spend on the Stove and if you need scaffolding, etc so installation costs vary. Budget on 2-3,000 as a conservative price all in.

Please don't! Someone near us has one, and it has 2 effects on us:
1) My asthma gets worse - it's as if someone is smoking near me
2) Any washing I've put out stinks of smoke and has to be re-washed - doubly bad for the environment...
