Congrats on the plan, using time off work for a health reset sounds like a great idea.
I looked around for a home chef or someone who'd make meals and leave them somewhere for me for a while but couldn't find anyone that sounded right. Then I discovered the meal delivery market, and not like hello fresh et al. where you have to make it yourself. For the last year+ I've been using Fresh Fitness Food (
www.freshfitnessfood.com) for all my meals 4 or 5 days a week.
With FFF (I think there's a couple of competitors doing similar) you get to specify exactly macros (protein, carbs, fat) and total calories online and the meals they send you near-exact match. I get them delivered daily, dropped outside my front door in a cool bag whilst I'm asleep. All they need is 2-3 mins in the microwave to be ready to eat. I do however miss bread
I always thought it'd be good to get a trainer/nutritionist and have them work with you get set macros that go with planned exercise and your lifestyle, then get FFF to hit those macros so you don't have to worry about shopping or cooking. I find it liberating knowing there's always a meal in the fridge and I haven't got to deal with the cognitive load of shopping and meal prep
HTH!
