Looking for something New for your children to try this year.... then read on...

** 4 Free Taster Sessions **

We are Bec Korfball Club and we are one of the largest korfball clubs in the UK. We've been promoting our mixed-gender sport in South London for the last 70 years and we want YOU to come down and try it out!

SO, WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?

Every Tuesday we run a fun and exciting session for all children in school years 4 to 8 at Graveney High School Welham Road Tooting. The session will be led by a qualified korfball coaches and will cater for children of all ages and abilities. The sessions run every Tuesday (term time only) The great news is that the first 4 sessions are free and will begin at 18:30 and will finish at 19:30. For more information about our Club check out our website: https://www.beckorfball.co.uk or our facebook page Bec Korfball Club

BUT HANG ON, WHAT EVEN IS KORFBALL?

Korfball is a fun and exciting sport that anyone can play. It bears similarities to netball and basketball in that the aim is to throw a ball into a basket but there a number of rules that mean it is quite different to both. Uniquely, it is the world's only exlusively MIXED-SEX SPORT. This means that all korfball teams must always have four male and four female players on the court at all times. Each player is then in a duel with an opponent of the same sex and must use their speed, agility and skill to break free to shoot and score. This creates a fast, dynamic sport that requires teamwork and cooperation to achieve success. Korfball is still relatively unheard of in the UK but it has been around for over a 100 years and is played in more than 60 countries around the world. The rules are easy to learn and luckily a nice chap called Ninh has created the video below to explain them in a bit more detail:
