Cricket for the Under 10's

Postby ElleCee » Tue Apr 16, 2019 8:35 pm

Does anyone have any sage advice as to which clubs in SW London and Surrey might accept new U8 and U9 players please? My sons play at school and have enjoyed lots of half term and Easter camps however we didn't put their names down last winter so are now struggling to find a club where they can play regularly. We'd commit to regular practice/weekend play and my husband and I can offer to help if parent volunteers are useful. Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.

Hi,
My boy and girl play cricket at Sinjun Grammarians on Trinity Fields and it is a great, friendly place with room for all abilities.
It’s Pay-as-you-Go once you have signed up for only £5 per session.
Lessons are on Sunday mornings.
Still a few saves available.

Try looking for allstars cricket - they run a 6 week programme for this age (and it is separate to joining a club, although run at local clubs by qualified coaches) it’s a great entry level way to play at the ages you mention.

Alternatively, Cricket Dynamics run by Faisal, is a good summer solution, he’s a great coach and has just entered a league for a number of ages.

Both are excellent choices, depending on which time/location suits you best!
“This summer we are offering free cricket matches to our U9, U11 and U13 group when you join the summer coaching, following feedback from our customers we have entered sides in the NEC Colts League.
Details of coaching dates, times and prices can be found at https://cricketdynamics.co.uk/cd-teams- ... edule.html
Details of matches can be found at https://cricketdynamics.co.uk/cd-teams-fixtures.html

Good luck!

All Star Cricket is only for kids having left Reception and Yr 1 (so new Yr 1 & 2) so I believe much younger than yours. Furthermore as far as I’m aware it is completely full everywhere.

Thank you Anne-Sophie and mum of two, that is so kind of you. Delighted that we may have found a solution!
