MENTOR EDUCATION: ESSENTIAL 11+ SKILLS WORKSHOP
Who will benefit? Current Year 5 pupils preparing for the Independent and Grammar school selective school tests inc: Alleyn's, DC, Emanuel, GDST, JAGS, KCS and Grammar schools.
Who will teach the course? At Mentor it is all about great teaching and our courses offer cost effective access to the top teachers. Our Group tutors are 11+ experts with oodles of school entrance experience. We regularly see a significant improvement in a pupil’s confidence and ability.
Course topics will include:
Maths Core Skills Mastery: Accuracy, confidence & speed and how to confidently tackle unfamiliar maths puzzles and problems, the common pitfalls.
Verbal, Non-verbal and Spatial reasoning: Advanced pattern recognition, question types & associated strategies.
English Skills: Comprehension tips, and how to unpick difficult questions
How to Present Your Best Self: Thinking 'out of the box’, current affairs, debating, visual analysis and interview techniques.
