Lights, Camera, Action!
From 24 April, it’s back to movie making fun at Sparks.
Sparks film classes include lots of filmmaking fundamentals, with crew members taking away lots of new skills behind and in front of the camera. We explore how to direct and shoot sequences, how to crew a production, how to act for the camera and how to edit their work creatively. All our film classes are practical and hands on. Over the term, crew members will work on their own extended film projects - their movie masterpieces! They’ll step into all the professional crew roles you find on a real film set - becoming young directors, camera crew, production crew, actors and more.
Taking part is a great way to boost imagination, skills and confidence. It also offers the chance for young movie makers to meet new friends, to collaborate, explore their creativity, express their ideas and discover new passions.
Each term there is a new theme to explore. This term, it’s all about the atmosphere!
Crew members are set to explore lots of atmospheric techniques and learn how to create on screen moods for their movies.
They’ll learn how to use different lighting and sound techniques, post-production effects and screenwriting techniques - all to help them create different atmospheres for their movie productions.
The crews will choose their favourite techniques and apply them to their projects ready for a big screen premiere.
In September, we’ll share these in a special red carpet celebratory screening event for friends and family!
