What theatre shows have you seen?

Postby coffee cake » Thu Aug 05, 2021 1:34 pm

Thinking about taking my nephew and niece to the theatre when they come to visit in a couple of weeks. Could anyone recommend anything for an 8 and 10 yr old? Both girls. Many thanks in advance!

I'm thinking about taking my eight and ten year old to see Joseph and the Amazing Techicolour Dreamcoat during the holidays, taking advantage of the Kids Week theatre offer which runs over summer.

Further details on the offer can be found here:

We are seeing Billionaire Boy (David Walliams) and Horrible Histories in a couple of weeks! Also highly recommend Matilda, Harry Potter, and Mary Poppins too 😀 have a great time!

We also took my youngest to see What the Ladybird Heard last weekend at The Palace - it was so great! So fantastic to be back at the theatre!

Disney’s Lion King is a Spectacular show, as is Mary Poppins or perhaps Wicked (if it’s still showing in the West End).
If I could offer you one piece of advise in this current climate, it would be to leave the theatre trip as a surprise! It seems due to COVID/Pingdemic, that many shows are having to cancel last minute due to shortage of cast/crew!

I’m sure the last thing you want is are very disappointed children! Just a thought 😉

Matilda is amazing if still showing
Joseph and dream coat
We loved ‘six’ - innuendos but they go over the kids heads …
