The ugly side of child-care activities in the summer holidays is witnessed by me at Clapham Common tennis courts and bowling green, where there are upwards of 3 dozen kids of varying ages herded together initially into the Bowling Green pavillion. Then moved from pillar to post, between tennis courts playing fields and pavillion, while standing around waiting for something to happen; at least on tennis courts nothing in terms of tennis activities with racquets seem to happen! Perhaps due to that constraint problem of over-sized groups and 2 tennis courts yet many "shouty" assistants. Ugly business!
At the same time, I run the niche Strictly Come Junior Tennis Camp - doing what it says on the tin! with smaller manageable group size. I have a dilema as to whether to charge higher prices for my specialist individual-catered tennis camp with ACTUAL ACTIVITIES and greater freedoms, for example to break-out and play football, table-tennis etc. Or whether I go on a mission to educate inform parents of LineBall Tennis's Strictly Come Tennis Camp, for fear my tennis camp becomes over-sized groups and difficult to manage.
Well, parents you are informed of local child-care activities or child-minding - whatever is aim and intention for the price for your precious one. Please feel free to comment I shall reply.
