Waste Matters Meeting/Tonight

Postby wildatheart » Thu Sep 13, 2018 8:06 am

There is a meeting tonight run by Wandsworth Council on 'Waste Matters'. It's a wonderful opportunity for us to hear plans and also find out why Wandsworth only recycles 22% and doesn't pick up kitchen waste. Out of 33 London boroughs, 23 already collect kitchen waste. Apart from the ethics, it also stops foxes and rats.

The meeting is at Westside Church Hall @ the corner of Melody Rd and All Farthing Lane @ 7.47 for 8.00pm.

Thanks for posting. I'm going to pop in just to ask if the borough has any powers to make separating recycling mandatory. I think it's ridiculous that many people can't be bothered to put paper, glass, mixed recyclables in one bin and the rest in another.
