Well I guess if you commented in English people might have some idea what you were on about.

But in any event - could you please let us know what your grandson's qualifications are, and why we should listen to him rather than medical professionals.  Anyway I do hope he (and you) remain safe, given you idiotic attitude to a very dangerous disease.

I'm very - and genuinely - sorry if your grandson has COVID and is in isolation.  I congratulate him on taking responsibility and isolating, as it will protect others, and hope he makes a complete recovery.

All you can do is reduce risk - you can never eliminate it.  And masks do that, so everyone should wear one.

I hope you both stay safe.

I think that washing hands is a big part of it.

Wearing a mask will help so far but if you don't wash your hands properly and very regularly when you take your mask off and touch your face or rub your eyes you may very well find that you transmit the disease then.

I hope that your grandson recovers quickly.

Face masks wouldn't have completely protected your grandson working underground in Harrods. What they do do is give some protection which will be vital to those out and about and are vulnerable and to people who can pass it on to the vulnerable.
For example if you go into a supermarket or get on the tube droplets from your nose and mouth ( from just breathing) can collect in the mask and not be dispersed on surfaces. They don't give 100 per cent protection but they do help. Masks also remind you not to congregate and socialize especially important when the rate is up. I missed the school gate chats but I have been dropping off and picking up and don't linger as much as possible.

Read carefully....
A true lockdown would mean no one could leave homes for one month ( This would happen in area where there was a biohazard or radioactive attack.) Food which had been sealed and sterilised by gamma radiation  as are military emergency rations, delivered to each home daily/weekly by personal in biohazard suits and left on the door steps. Anything else is pointless all show to frighten the people. Only takes one person in supermarket with no symptoms touching door handle or tap in toilets and virus is transferred to another person same with taxi or bus door. This virus is 4 microns in size. A piece of ash from cigarette is 200 microns. A mask is like a chain link fence to virus! Protects you to some extent from long range spray but not person receiving it!
I saw Government research in the 70s regarding the common cold virus which is similar in spread pattern. Tests were done with healthy students, in open air environment. It was found that the smallest safe distance not to catch cold in open air was 30 feet! Not 2 meters (six feet) in a closed recirculated air supermarket or on bus or train or even the street! Forget masks on an aircraft with recirculated air and even with masks which people have to take off to eat! All masks useless after two hours and when become saturated with water. The ones with air exit one way valves also let out virus from person so are totally useless to start with!
Research yourself more technical if you understand and see.
See what doctor says about face masks:

Contrary to your dangerous comments, masks do work. As has been demonstrated quite thoroughly by qualified scientists rather than uneducated and uninformed “commentators”.

The primary purpose of masks is to limit the spread of disease from an infected person to others in the vicinity. You wear a mask to protect others, not yourself. If everyone does this then we all remain safer (though of course we are talking about reducing risk, not eliminating it).

For some reason the concept of looking after others, rather than just oneself seems to be quite alien to many.

Your reasoning is why we have not been able to control this virus you fool. Educate yourself and grow up - don't take it lightly 000s are dying. If you're offended, tough

Idiotic post. Wearing a mask doesn’t protect your or others 100%. It adds a degree of protection.
