Linden Tree Nursery - Webb’s Road - any thoughts?

Postby Daddyandpa » Sat Mar 30, 2019 1:42 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recent feedback on Linden Tree Nursery (formerly Baby Room) on Webbs Rd?

We can only find older reviews which aren’t fantastic - but wondering if there are any parents with children there now or recently, particularly babies?

Any thoughts would be amazing!

Thanks

Hey - my son is signed up for Linden Tree on Webbs' Road. He'll start there next week. He is 11 1/2 months old. So far, I only have positive things to say about them. We looked at all the nurseries in the area incl. Bright Horizon ones and independent nurseries in Balham. They stood out to us due to small group sizes, commitment to going out 3 times a week and the nice food menu they offer (work with zeebeedees). I had a few special requests/ concerns about my son's routine before he starts (needs to go down for naps at certain times and be woken up if needed, he's finger-feeding vs being spoon-fed) and to discuss all of this I was invited to their head office on Northcote Road prior to his start. They are able to accommodate all my requests.
I would be happy to share more about how his settling-in and the first weeks went if you are interested. Ping me and/ or I can share it here.

Hi there! I would also be interested to hear how your son settles in as I am considering Linden Tree Webb's road as well. Making this decision is more difficult than I had anticipated! I think it's just my own separation anxiety :) x

Hi all, I’d totally recommend Linden Tree Webb’s Road. My daughter joined when she was 7 months old (she’s now 22 months old) and she loves it there. The groups are small and the carers really connect with the kids. She arrives there in the morning ready for breakfast, grabs her little chair, blows me a kiss and says “bye bye mommy”. My husband and I both work full time so it’s great to know that she’s somewhere where she’s happy and well taken care of.

My 2.5 year old is there, having started just before he turned 2. He absolutely loves it. He runs through the door every morning and quite often forgets to say bye to me as he’s too busy saying hi to the other children and the ladies that work there.

They have shown a real focus on nurturing his own interests and development and I couldn’t ask for more. Would highly recommend the nursery.

Just for the sake of keeping @LPoole updated: my son went through his settling-in days last week. It was three days. I was impressed by the loving and nurturing way the ladies that work there took care of him and made sure he gets plenty of hugs and attention on his first days. Everyone knew who he was, that he was new and that he might have a little bit of a hard time during those first days. My son did cry when I left him - yes. Yet, he calmed down and the staff engaged him in play quickly so he was distracted.
I, as a mum, was able to call whenever I wanted to check in on how he's doing. Which I did ;-) The manager took time to look what my son was doing and told me how he was. They even called me proactively for advise on what to do with him when he struggled to settle for his lunch nap. They are also able to 100% adhere to his routine in regards to milk and naps.
All in all - it's been a very positive experience so far. Also all the other kids in the nursery seem very content and were happily playing every time I entered the place.

Hi all,
I'm hoping to send my son to Lindon Tree when he's 6 months old. I've read your comments and they have put my mind at ease as it seems like a great environment.
I was, however, interested to know how your more recent experience has been with the nursery since COVID?
Thanks
Alex
