We are going to be moving out of London over the summer holidays and our fab nanny is looking for another position starting in August or September.
She has been with us on a 9-month contract looking after our 6 yr-old daughter and 9 yr-old son. Given how difficult it is to find good nannies, particularly 'a wrap-around' nanny, I wanted to help her in her search. She is also registered with the main nanny agencies.
She currently works 33 hrs p/w in term time and 43/4 hrs in holidays. Mon-Thurs before and after school - 7.45am - 9.15 then 3-7pm - + a full day on Monday for kids clothes washing, cooking, etc plus 3-10pm on a Thursday so that we have one night a week babysitting in the contract. Then full time (7.45am -7pm) in holidays with annualised hours (through nannytax).
This arrangement has worked really well with our school-age children, as they can continue to do their after school activities. She is flexible with days and keen to do a similar arrangement
if possible.
