Face masks

Postby Luvnyrick » Thu Jul 16, 2020 10:43 am

Just to let everyone know that you can all go out and about to rob or attack anyone you like because they will never recognise you now only your eyes !! We are ordered to wear face masks in shops on transport then so should pubs cafes and restaurants and offices the government hasn't a clue. have they thought about those who find them distressing who just cannot cope people with mental health  problems children who are scared no they haven't I will not be pressured into wearing such a thing. I suffer hearing problems and don't have a clue what people are saying they haven't thought about that

Not their biggest fan but it's scientifically proven that it reduces the risk of the virus spreading. We need to start wearing them indoors.

In terms of someone mentioning death above. That is also very extreme. Unless you are in a high-risk category (NHS would have notified you!), these chances are very, very low.

I would even recommend a saftety visor for your elderly or vulnerable family members.
I find it so odd that people object to doing this temporarily.
I've lost someone close to this virus last month after a 4 week hospitalization and without able to visit. It is real and an absolutely insidious way to die if your immune system is weak. Wearing a mask is about protecting them so just think of others and the overstretched health workers.

Just to say it's not a temporary thing it's for the foreseeable future until a vaccine is found.what I cant understand is why it's not mandatory to wear them in pubs bars and restaurants people are aware of there social distances especially in large supermarkes but bars and pubs and restaurants get packed but don't have to wear them sencless.

I believe it is because people with weak immune systems will be avoiding these places for leisure and entertainment but they cannot avoid going to shops and even getting public transport. Or you may need the tube to get to work but have someone vulnerable living with you.
But going to pubs and restaurants we can pick up the virus and many of us will have now symptoms for days or at all. So we have to be careful around others- the elderly, and anyone with weakened immune systems.
I agree this situation will be around for a while and will likely get worse over autumn/ winter but it's the only way to protect lives until whatever scientific solutions will be available. It's worth being civic minded.
