Swimming lessons during pandemic

Postby LittleMy » Thu Sep 24, 2020 7:55 am

Hello,

I was looking forward to signing my little boy up for a swimming lessons. He learned to love water during summertime, and I was looking forward to expanding his skills. There were supposed to be new courses nearby starting in October but I a little unsure. The COVID related numbers are going up again and as much as I am sick and tired of the epidemic I also do not wish to bring harm to anyone. So perhaps I should wait couple more months?

I think most swimming classes will have very strict protocols about how many people allowed in pool and changing rooms. Also teachers in pool wearing masks and or face shields. Chlorine apparently kills COVID. For me the biggest concern is that they don’t want you spending unnecessary time by the pool so some swimming schools ask kids to go home in a onesie over their swimming costume. Which doesn’t sound very attractive in the winter! I’d advise you ask the school about the protocols before you book, and see whether you’re comfortable with them.
