Going Rate for a Cleaner

Postby chorister » Thu Aug 05, 2021 3:00 pm

We have a marvellous cleaner whom we have had for years and trust implicitly.  She would never ask for a rise, and because we aren't in the market for another cleaner we don't know the going rate.  Could someone please advise what we should be paying her per hour?  Many thanks.

We pay our cleaner £13 per hour but like you I have been wondering if this is too low.

We also pay our cleaner £12 / hour, however we employ her directly and I doubt she pays tax. I think if we went through an agency the charges would be higher.
