Emanuel school 10+

Postby manta » Tue Mar 14, 2023 8:41 am

Hi,

Does anyone have experience of the Emanuel 10+ entry process? In particular a tutor recommendation and any guidance on the CAT scores your child had if they got in. Thanks!

No idea what a CAT test is but mine both did it. They do long form papers in English and Maths as well as verbal reasoning.

They don’t usually give scores out but I was told you need about 85% or 65% for siblings or those with scholarships in art/music/drama/sport.

We did a bit of tutoring. Happy to pass on the one we used if you message me. Got both my kids in so she’s tried and tested!

Sorry to restart this thread. My child is about to take the 10+ assessment at Emanuel. Any ideas on numbers of applicants vs. offers from recent years?

It used to be limited to 200 applicants for 48 places (ie about 4:1) but they have removed the cap on numbers for the exams and changed their entry process so think there more kids applying now. Don't actually think the numbers have increased that much but the school is more popular so more people accept the offers.
