Chestnut Grove Montessori vs Nightingale 1 Montessori

Postby Melly23 » Sun Mar 26, 2023 7:37 pm

Just wondering if anyone has any views on The Montessori School on Chestnut Grove vs Nightingale Montessori 1 (on Ramsden Road)? Both look fantastic so we’re a bit unsure where to send our 2 year old.

Hi,
Nightingale 1 is a great nursery, very well trained staff, huge outdoor place and very happy children! Highly recommending!

We love Montessori on Chestnut Grove. My daughter is approaching her last term there and we can’t say enough good things. She has absolutely loved it and genuinely I’m shocked at how much she has learnt! Although outdoor space is smaller, they have them outside everyday and all the extra curricular activities keep them busy (and wear them out).
It’s a really wonderful warm inviting atmosphere and I like that it’s a house as I think that’s reassuring for little ones going on their own.
But really, convenience for you should make your decision. It makes a difference to your day if it’s only a few mins away / on your commute.

My 4 children have gone to Nightingale Montessori and have loved it. The teachers are lovely, with a very low staff turnover. The garden is a major plus, and they always go out even when it’s quite muddy! The learning approach is well balanced between play and learning, and they’ve just started offering hot meals. A lovely nursery by all accounts.
