We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic nanny to work four days a week. The job is available from late August and will be a nanny share for a year, converting to a single family nanny after that.
For the first year the role will be to look after two girls, one aged 23 months and the other 16 months. The job will be spilt across the two homes with two days a week in each home, and will be a 42 hour week. The houses are on the same road in Wandsworth/Earlsfield.
After a year the role will change to look after the older girl (who will then be nearly 3 and attending pre-school in the mornings) and her little brother or sister (who is yet to be born but will be around 9 months at this stage). The duties of the role may therefore adapt slightly.
Duties
- The care and supervision of both children throughout the day
- Picking up and dropping off at the beginning and end of the day
- Planning, preparing and clearing up breakfast, lunch and tea
- Creative and educational play (singing, games, reading, developmental activities)
- Ensuring the children receive fresh air and exercise everyday
- Taking the children to 1 or 2 playgroups a week
- Keeping both children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
- Weekly laundry of children’s clothes and bed linen
- Occasional opportunities for extra (paid) evening babysitting
Requirements
- Organized, tidy, responsible and reliable
- Proactive, energetic and willing to be flexible
- Previous experience looking after two young children
- Ofsted registered
- Non-smoker
- Current CRB Check
- Valid visa to work in the UK
- English mother tongue preferable, total fluency essential
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to undertake a course to obtain one)
- At least 2 references will be required
