Anyone with experience of Stepping Stones or Looking Glass?

Postby LuluDaffodil » Thu Mar 27, 2014 10:11 am

Hello everyone,

I am new here and soon to be a first time mum! This is a very exciting yet daunting time when looking at childcare...

I have visited a few of the nurseries where I live and the ones I can afford are Looking Glass in Tooting and Stepping Stones on Elmfield road. I really liked the former but their Ofsted report was poor so I've now set my heart on Stepping Stones.

Has anyone got experience of either they'd be willing to share to help a clueless first time mum?!

Many thanks xx

Don't know much about SS but a bit about LG.

It seems to be a nursery that has wonderful space but hasn't managed to live up to potential. I've heard that it isn't as well run as the Teddies or Asquiths and that reflects in the general day-to-day cleanliness, processes etc.

That said I do know of people who love it, I just don't think it's as polished as some others.

Hope that helps

Can't comment on SS, but my son was at LG for a year or so. I felt standards were declining whilst he was there and was very happy when a place came up for him at another nursery and I was able to move him.
