live-in nanny/au pair needed W14

Postby tarajames » Wed Mar 25, 2015 1:02 am

Full-time live-in nanny/mother’s help sought for a British family with three wonderful, funny kids - two girls aged 7 & 5 and a boy aged 2. We live in a house in W14 (between Barons Court and Brook Green) with a great garden and the girls go to school in Earls Court. Mum works part-time (3 days). We do not have pets and we have a weekly cleaner.

Usually you would be in sole charge of the children for the whole day on the days when Mum is working; on other days, it would be shared care, with two nights’ babysitting included per week. Typically, you would be getting the children up and ready for school every day, on some days take them to school and then look after the 2 year old, taking him on outings and cooking his lunch. You would be collecting from school and cooking their supper, supervising any homework, feeding and bathing them. You would be responsible for the kids’ bedrooms and bathroom and laundry. There may be travelling involved, particularly in the school holidays or at half term, so you would need to be comfortable with (and hopefully enjoy!) accompanying the family to Cornwall, Scotland, Portugal or Switzerland. There would also be opportunities to take the children to their grandparents’, looking after them there for the odd week during school holidays.

You would have your own newly refurbished and furnished studio flat with wifi and TV and en suite bathroom and kitchenette (fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker, sink).

You need to be organised and motivated, friendly and full of fun! Our kids have become very attached to our nannies and you would be considered to be a member of the family. We would work in partnership and welcome your ideas. You need to be able to help our girls with homework, to care for our boy during the day, and to have great fun in the holidays!

Essential:
• good English;
• previous sole charge childcare experience with written references;
• right to work in the UK;
• minimum commitment of 1 year;
• confident basic cook.
• First Aid
• CRB check

Desirable:
• Full clean EU driving licence;
• Experience driving in London.

Start as soon as possible – one week handover with current nanny who is moving back to Slovakia.
