Looking for an awesome Live-in nanny for one happy boy

Postby Tpa » Sun Mar 29, 2015 5:09 pm

We are a very kind and welcoming American family and would like a loving and responsible live-in nanny to care for our sweet 13 month old son. Our house is between the commons in Clapham, just off the park and you would have the private top floor with a double bedroom, shower room, and direct access to the roof terrace. Of course you would also have access to the rest of house both on and off duty!

In terms of personality and experience, we would like someone energetic, fun, creative and who genuinely loves children. Our top priorities are:

- Experience and understanding of the developmental milestones of toddlers. One of the most wonderful attributes of our nanny was her ability to guide and encourage our son's natural development (from eating to waving to speaking to walking). As a result, he is a very bright and curious child.
- Lots of Love. Our son is such a happy and smiley child and we would like a nanny who is comfortable giving lots of kisses and cuddles. At the same time, we feel that good manners and structure are really important and we like someone who is confident in using proper discipline to encourage good behaviors.
- Flexibility. As much as we wish we could be home at 6pm on the dot every night, my husband and I can be very busy. We may sometimes work from home or leave later in the mornings, but we are looking for a commitment of 7-7 Monday-Friday plus 2 nights of babysitting.

Our son has a very established sleep schedule (naps from 1-3pm daily and sleeps from 7pm until we wake him at 7:30am). Duties include everything to do with his care (playing/reading, organizing his classes as you deem fit, laundry, weekly grocery shopping, cooking/freezing/feeding, appointments) plus washing up, and keeping the nursery/kitchen/play area stocked and tidy. On babysitting nights, you would also do the bath and bed routine. In addition, I really appreciate someone who will help keep the living spaces clutter free at the end of the day after play. We have a cleaner in once per week to take care of deep cleaning.

We live in Zone 2 of London and just off Northcote Road, so a Driver's License is not required but you should be comfortable taking Theo on public transport or getting around by foot to activities such as music class/playgroups/park etc. There are lots nearby and we live just next to the playground!

We are looking for someone to start in mid -April/May on a committed, long-term basis. (we can be flexible on dates)

Excellent references from minimum 3 employers. Relevant trainings and track record of interest in children (ie, degree in Child Psych, daycare admin, etc) would be a big plus.

Please email CV's and references directly! Thanks.
