Looking for a female French or English Live-In au pair to join our family for at least 12 months, available to start immediately. PLEASE check the ‘About you’ below and only reply if this describes you!
We are a loving family with a calm and happy temperament. Our daughter is 4 and our son is 6, so they are both in school.
THE JOB
During school time, your hours would be 35-40 hrs/week with flexibility.
The core hours we need are:
07.15 – 9.00 – taking the kids to school (about a 10 min drive) and light household jobs.
3.00/5.00 – 8.00pm – collecting the kids from school and helping til 8 pm. This includes preparing their supper, taking/collecting them from out of school clubs, playing and relaxing with them and giving them a bath.
Food: we eat a lot of fresh food, mostly organic, and the kids enjoy a wide variety of meals.
Fun: the kids have a variety of interests, swimming, climbing, table tennis, cycling, baking, arts and crafts, playing made up games. We are looking for someone who enjoys these things too.
School stuff: you will need to make sure the kids have school clothes and sports kit ready for the next day.
When the kids are home: you would need to look after the children during the school holidays and on any days that they are off school sick – we will pay you £20 extra per day.
Light household duties: (we have a separate cleaner)
There is around 10 hours per week to allow for some light household duties. It can be spread through the week or allocated to specific days.
Every morning an hour has been allocated for a light tidy.
At the end of the day, the kitchen should be left clean and tidy.
Once a week the beds and towels need to be changed.
Through the week you are responsible for putting on the washing.
Babysitting: we need up to 3 nights babysitting each week. The babysitting is mostly mid week, with the occasional Saturday or Sunday.
We would not require you to work weekends except for infrequent evening babysitting.
Our Offer:
• We will pay you £150 per week
• During school holidays or if the children are sick there will be £20 extra per day (£240 for a full week)
• Comfortable separate living area with your own TV player, desk and internet point.
• Bathroom – sole use
• We provide your food, bedding, towels, etc
• You will have 4 weeks paid holiday.
• If you don’t have a bank account we will help you set one up as we pay directly into an account rather than cash.
About you:
We are looking for someone:
• Aged 25 or over (for car insurance reasons)
• Confident driver with a clean driving license
• Loves having fun with children
• Values healthy food and enjoys cooking interesting food
• Enjoys playing games indoors and outdoor
• English/French speaker
• Non smoker
• Checkable references
• Be in London for a face to face interview
• Can stay for a minimum of 1 year
