Which babysitter to choose?!

Postby urbanblossom » Mon Jul 17, 2017 9:04 pm

Hi

I need to find a babysitter for my birthday night, 17th August, to look after my two children aged 4 yrs and 22 months. I've just moved to London so no longer have family or friends nearby I can ask - but have never left my children with someone I don't know before so am more than a little daunted about choosing a sitter. :?

Can any Nappy Valley mums out there advise me or, better still, give me references and recommendations? I live just off the Northcote Road.

Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks so much x

Our nanny is open for babysitting and is fabulous, she lives locally and looks after our kids (3.5yrs & 18mths). PM me if you're keen.

Hey, would love you to take a look at our app - bubble babysitting.

It shows you local sitters in the area and you can read their reviews from other local parents so it works off of personal recommendations. You can book and pay them via the app too so it's very easy to use.

Quite a few Mums in the area now using it. Let me know if you've any questions :-)

Hi urban blossom

I have worked for families in a similar position locally and know how stressful it must be to leave your little ones for the first time!

I am a 26 year old graduate-professional working for an investment bank in London (lots of security vetting!!) and have been babysitting since the age of 13, both day, evening and overnight for children from birth. I am also based in Clapham, just off the Northcote Road.

I have worked with regular families for over ten years at home in the countryside, as well as on an ad hoc basis since moving to London three years ago. I have also babysat overnight on several occasions for three children under the age of five within their own home in the countryside whilst the parents were attending events in London. I am DBS checked and first aid trained and am happy to share the paperwork, as well as meet in advance of you booking!

My mother runs a group of award-winning children's nurseries and I have 2 young nieces so my experience of looking after children is varied, and extensive.

I am available on 17 August so please do get in touch if I can be of help!

Thanks,
Ali

We live on Honeywell road, my mum has been helping me with my two since the birth of my son (26 months boy and 2 months old girl), incredible woman, kind, helpful and loving and your children will be very lucky to have her help. Only suggesting since she refuses to take any money from me and has asked to offer her occasional help if I hear of someone who lives nearby, she would be happy to discuss (079 5040 6063). Best wishes.
