11+ ISEB Preparation: Mentor Education

Postby Jess from Mentor Education » Tue Oct 27, 2020 1:10 pm

We appreciate the tremendous pressures children are facing in the current educational climate, and the changes to the usual 11+ exam format has been very unsettling for some.

We believe that education in the truest sense of the word, is about bringing out the best in children, and building confidence is key to this. As 11+ experts, we offer a full programme of support which includes academic assessments, tuition (home and online), workshops, mock exams, interview technique and lots of advice. We have a number of top 11+ tutors who have significant experience with the local Independent schools and the academic levels required.

Mock Exams:
We have 2 places left on our November Mock Exam. The papers will replicate the ISEB multiple choice format, and will be sat in formal, timed conditions. A detailed report will follow which includes personalised last minute revision tips and tragets based on your child's scores in each subject.

Our papers, like the ISEB Common Pre-Test, are made up of four individual tests which will be sat in one sitting.

ENGLISH – assesses comprehension, sentence completion, spelling and punctuation
MATHS– assesses mathematical ability relative to the national curriculum stage
VERBAL REASONING – assesses thinking and problem solving with words
NON-VERBAL REASONING – assesses thinking with shapes, space, diagrams and pictures

Date: Saturday November 14th
Time: 9am to 12.30pm
Venue: Hillgate Place, SW12
Cost: £149.00

Interview Skills Workshops:
In December and January we are offering Exam Technique Workshops for groups and individuals. We believe that the interview process will be far more rigorous than usual and will involve a plethora of content. We will be focusing on confidence boosting interview preparation, and what to expect. We will be encouraging your child to fully engage and present their best self. Topics will include current affairs, mental maths, lateral thinking, comprehension techniques and visual analysis.

Dates: Saturday 5th or 12th December
Time: 9am to 12.30pm
Venue: Hillgate Place, SW12
Cost: £149.00
