Interested to compare what different schools will be providing as they reopen remotely

Particularly primary - but both state and private

How much of the timetable will be live for your children?

Eaton House is offering the full timetable online with live lessons via Teams and Zoom for prep boys. They did the same last spring. Not sure what they do in the pre-prep.
I think many estate schools did a great job too, perhaps less interactive but with appropriate amounts of work and good feedback from teachers. Good luck!

Belleville is doing three live Zoom lessons a day, plus an extra one per week.  The live lessons are around half an hour each, and are English and Maths every day, and then daily 'Curriculum', which is effectively one of the sciences, Geography RE or PSCHE Art French Music or PE.  The extra one a week is guided reading (which I forgot about yesterday!!).

It is much much better organised than the first lockdown, and there is no interaction allowed from the pupils.  They seem to be having two classes on each Zoom call, so with up to 60 kids on each call you can see why.  There is additional work set from each session (around 20 minutes work each time), and the children upload it to Seesaw for the teachers to see.  The teacher in our class is really good at giving feedback and encouragement on Seesaw which is very well received.

So far so good, and a million times better than lockdown #1

Honeywell is providing pre-recorded lessons rather than live lessons. That said, we have had daily pre-recorded lessons for our child in the infant school, but not for our child in the junior school (that has been audio recording only from the teacher).

I don’t mind whether the lessons are live or pre-recorded, but I think seeing or hearing the teachers in either case is incredibly important for engagement and morale.

Platform used is either Seesaw or Google Classrooms— both fantastic. Homeschooling has been a positive experience this time round; very different from spring/summer!

Shaftesbury Park is running a full timetable of live learning online this lockdown.

The children have zoom registration at the start of each day, and then live lessons on zoom. The teacher gives them tasks to complete in google classroom by a deadline with the teacher on hand to help them if they get stuck.

It’s been brilliant: no more ‘teaching’ by the parents (unlike the first lock down when the parents were teaching the kids using resources supplied by the school). So we can get on with our work!

The school has really thought about it and are delivering a full timetable now with so far 100% participation from all kids, certainly in my children’s classes. They have also organised free laptops for families who don’t have this so everyone is on an equal footing.

My children are at Swaffield and their home learning is brilliant. It’s all on Google Classroom and they have the register and live lessons. The lessons are recorded too so they can catch up if needed (although no children are in the recordings). They have tasks to do with the teacher and separately too which they submit for marking. The teachers have been preparing for this scenario since September (as well as doing their usual teaching last term) so all the children knew exactly how to access it all and what to expect.
It has made my life certainly a lot easier and the children are excited to be learning.

We are at a local state school, in year one we have one live lesson and 3 recorded lessons per day which enables them to be completed around parents work. They are then set 3 pieces of work which relates to the lesson

Bonneville primary is providing a full timetable via a mixture of live and prerecorded sessions for all years (even nursery). Year 1 has morning registration and live lessons for maths and English.

Finton are offering a good section of live lessons. Hornsby are only offering 2 live lessons a day (English and Maths) and the rest of the subjects are just using documents or video.

The White House in Balham has a pretty full timetable, with live lessons throughout the day, including subjects like drama, french, music. The teacher sets up each session, and the children can then choose to stay on the zoom and work through the lesson with the teacher, or log off to do the work themselves, and log in at the end again for feedback / queries - each teacher is then on hand at the end of the 'lesson' slot for further questions from the children. The children have more 'breaks' in the timetable than usual for sport activities and to break up screen time

As a working parent it has meant I can get some solid periods of concentration!

The school was also one of the only ones that opened at the end of the last lockdown to every school year, with clear bubbles and strategy in place for if and when bubbles went down.

I have to say I have been hugely impressed by how much they have supported the children, recommend it highly

Earlsfield Primary are doing an amazing job, full timetable, live interactive lessons all mornings, a few recorded activities for children to follow in the afternoons like art, music, and yoga but the teacher still comes in live to introduce the activities to the class and checks in with them straight afterward to see how the all did.

Broomwood Hall Brilliant - lower school live most of the day with a structured timetable. Upper School mixture of live and independent tasks set. x
