Children's book donations wanted

Postby Childrensbookproject » Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:23 am

As your children grow up, so does their taste in books. When you are making space on their bookshelf, please consider donating their old books to the Children’s Book Project. We will ensure that your child’s books are put straight into the hands of the children that need them most.

National Literacy Trust research indicates that by the age of 11 there is a 12-month language development gap between children from book rich homes and those with fewer than ten books. The Children's Book Project seeks to tackle book poverty and give every child the opportunity to own their own book. During school closures we sort, clean and send out books to children who most need them.

To donate books, please PM me for the location of our Battersea Book Hub.

Would a copy of "The Little Prince" be of use? I don't have kids but have one or two books like this that might be useful...
And how about a (large) copy of the Chronicles or Narnia - all 7 of the books in one book?

Hello

I'm part of Work and Play SCrapstore, a re-use charity in Tooting and we have several crates of children's books that we would be happy to donate. They came from a local primary school. Let me know how best to proceed.

Hi EmmaNorv unfortunately not... but any children's books from nursery to year 6 would be welcome. Thanks.
