Passing the entrance exams is the first step. Your child will also likely be interviewed by their prospective schools. We provide independent advice and practice, both online and in person, to cope with these interviews.
Interview Skills is not about telling your child exactly what to say. Our sessions will help your child to act naturally and feel comfortable in an interview situation. This increases confidence and promotes good presentational skills when meeting new people in unfamiliar situations.
We also focus on good manners, how to shake hands, posture, how to sit and most importantly tips on how to remain calm and make sure your child remains confident throughout the session.
Your child will be interviewed by a specialist and will be asked questions on a range of subjects based on current school interview methods. Your child will develop strategies to cope with and answer surprise questions, maximising his or her chances of being selected by your school(s) of choice.
We offer tips for improvement and provide you with feedback and suggestions on how to practise your interview technique at home.
The interview practice lasts one hour and parents are able to join the last 10 minutes to hear feedback.
