State Secondary Schools Offer Day - waiting list info and how places were offered

Postby Schools (admin) » Wed Mar 02, 2022 3:58 pm

We hope everyone with children in Year 6, who received their secondary school place yesterday, are happy with the offer they received.

Wandsworth Council have released information on how school places were allocated this year:
https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/media/103 ... chools.pdf

Plus, information on how offers were made in previous years for comparison:  https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/media/581 ... chools.pdf

Waiting list information for schools in Wandsworth can be found here:
https://beta.lambeth.gov.uk/schools-and ... ting-lists

And waiting list information for schools in Lambeth: https://beta.lambeth.gov.uk/schools-and ... ting-lists

We know this can be a stressful time for everyone, if the place you received isn't the one you had hoped for, but waiting lists do move massively between now and September.

If you have any questions about a particular school that you'd like feedback on then the NappyValleyNet community is always a great place to turn to.

Teofoleva, I am wondering the same!
Is 41st the place on the waiting list you were told back in October, or did you have any updated information from the school?

I am not sure how accurate these reports are, my son was offered a place last year at Bolingbroke Academy before August and we live 3700m from the school, although the figures for 2021 states 1764m as the furthest distance for Belleville Wix.
Regarding waiting lists, they seem to move a lot quite quickly after the first offers from our experience.
Best of luck!

I got an e-mail welcoming my son as a language specialist! He was 19th on the waiting list, so clearly things are moving quickly - and probably even more so after the cutoff for accepting places. Good luck!

Also received an email today, welcoming our son as a language specialist, and he was 36th on the waiting list!

Art specialist places WL movement? Anyone having an experience with the art places ? My daughter is currently 14th on a WL as of offer day . Do we have any chances to get a place secured at cg, or need to be realistic and settle with our second choice ? Thanks

Yes, they do have a waiting list -you can call Wandsworth school admissions for pupil ID and check those yourself online . Good luck 🤞

I think the 1764m refers to the March offers, the second column implies all applications were accepted from B.Wix by the 31st of August
