Welcome to BROOMWOOD - the pre-prep and prep schools that are all about equipping and inspiring children to #BeYourBEST.
In September 2023 Northwood Schools will become BROOMWOOD to better symbolise our unique model of an educational journey that begins in our co-educational pre-prep and finishes in one of our two single-sex, yet highly collaborative prep schools. Our names will change, but our ethos and spirit and offer remain.
- Broomwood Hall Lower School will become BROOMWOOD PRE-PREP. We will also open a new pre-school class for 3-4 year olds, Little Broomwood
- Broomwood Upper School will become BROOMWOOD PREP, Girls
- Northcote Lodge will become BROOMWOOD PREP, Boys
We'd love to tell you more about all that we do to help your child find and celebrate his or her BEST - whether that's academic excellence, sporting success, theatrical performance, musical magic or some of the many other ways that we build and develop the skills that will equip your child to succeed in the 21st Century.
Above all, we'd like to tell you how we do this by giving children a proper prep education - one that stimulates, excites , stretches yet also supports so that each child can be the BEST version of themselves and leave us brimming with confidence for the next step on their educational journey.

Which site should I visit?
Boys and girls aged 3-8 (3-7 from 2024) BROOMWOOD Pre-Prep - including Little Broomwood - our new pre-school for 3-4 year olds
Girls aged 8-13 (Years 4-8) - BROOMWOOD Prep, Girls (7-13, Years 3-8 from 2024)
Boys aged 8-13 (Years 4-8) - BROOMWOOD Prep, Boys(7-13, Years 3-8 from 2024)
NB. Whilst our prep schools are single-sex, there is a lot of collaboration, shared activities and facilities which continues to increase, thereby offering children the BEST of all worlds.
Our main entry points are 3, 4, 7 and 11 - although children may join at any age if places are available.
We strongly recommend that parents look across the sites to get a full picture of the education we offer from 3-13 .Tours may be taken in any order - i.e. you can start at either Northcote Lodge (Boys Prep) or Broomwood Hall Upper School (Girls Prep) and finish at Broomwood Hall Lower School (Pre-Prep) - or vice versa.
