Bolingbroke Academy A Level and BTEC Results

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 for achieving outstanding A Level and BTEC results!

At Bolingbroke Academy we have seen another year of excellent results, with no lowering of grades despite national media reports, and are immensely proud of what out students have achieved. Today’s A Levels saw 40* marked as either A* or A grades, compared to the 2022 national average of 14.5%, whilst two thirds of all results were A*-B.

With 82% of students receiving their first choice university offer, and 98% their second, we are so delighted as our young people take their places at top third universities as well as immensely proud of all those embarking on apprenticeships.

Particular highlights include:
  • 100% A*- B in Art and Design and French
  • 100% A – C in Art and Design, Chemistry, French, Further Maths, Geography and Spanish
  • Highest in network for number of A/A*’s across almost all subjects including 18 A’s and A*’s in Maths
  • 82% received first choice university offer, 98% first and second choice
  • Highest in network for %AAB including 2 facilitating subjects
  • All four of our Oxbridge candidates have received their places

Principal Claire Edis said "This is an important milestone for these students, who were perhaps most impacted by the pandemic and the lack of formal exams – but they have come out the other end of it stronger and more resilient. Today’s results are a testament to their hard work but also the support they received from parents, carers and the teaching staff here at Bolingbroke Academy. As they embark on their next adventures, we have no doubt that this cohort will thrive and champion the courageous spirit of Bolingbroke wherever they go next."

Haja (Head Student, Class of 2023) said "My time at BBA has been defined by the opportunities provided and that I’ve been willing to take. Being at Bolingbroke has meant I have had the network of teachers who have pushed me for every opportunity available. Over the past 7 years I’ve grown in confidence - thanks to my teachers who have given me the opportunity to push my academic limits as much as possible."
