Alternative primary schools

Postby Buttercup » Tue Sep 12, 2023 4:46 pm

Can anyone recommend alternative primary schools in the area? I have tried to do some research but it doesn't look like there are any close by. I'm also considering home school but no idea where to start with this. Any leads much appreciated.

What do you mean by alternative schools?
Like Steiner or Waldorf?
Many small private schools have a different approach so worth visiting them.

Have you looked at the New School in West Norwood? It’s in the old Virgo Fidelis prep building and takes a democratic approach to education. It’s independent but doesn’t charge fees (!). Most of the children there were previously home-schooled.

There are also a couple of forest schools in Morden. This is one of them, I can’t remember the name of the other one.

Edited to add links.
