JAGS, Alleyn's, Emanuel, Dulwich College, King's College 11+ Easter Courses

The Easter holidays are an important time to boost your child's 11+ learning. With six months to go until the real assessments start, children should be studying 5 days a week in the Easter holidays.  Let us take the strain with our carefully crafted 11+ sessions.

Week 1 2nd April- 5th April 
9am - 12pm Maths £400
•    The four operations using the formal methods including decimals
•    Factors and multiples
•    Compare, convert, add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions
•    Finding percentages of amounts
•    Ratio and proportion

With all of these topics they will involve skill practice, worded questions applying the skill, problem solving, logical problems and mixed number problems.

12.30pm - 3.30pm Reading Comprehension £400
•    A range of different texts which cover different genres and difficultly
•    Vocabulary work and unpicking types of words (synonyms, antonyms etc)
•    Working on answering a range of different questions which vary in marks, for example PEE structure when answering questions
•    Test technique ensuring the answers written are reaching full marks and how to work on pace to complete all the questions

3.30pm - 5pm Interview Technique £200
•    A range of tips and tricks on how to answer interview questions
•    First impressions
•    Logic games for team interviews

Week 2 8nd April - 12th April 

9am - 12pm Creative writing £500
•    Picture prompt writing
•    Continuation of the story writing
•    Writing a description
•    Language developing (types of words, figurative language)
•    Writing skills (sentence structure, sentence openers and senses)

12.30pm - 3.30pm Reasoning £500
•    Working through a range of methodologies for verbal reasoning (Inset a letter, move a letter, same meaning, hidden words, related words, compound words)
•    Working through a range of methodologies for non-verbal reasoning (odd one out, changing pairs, complete the sequence, similar figures, reflections)
•    Working on test technique (process of elimination)
•    Applying the skills learnt to a range of mixed questions.

3.30pm - 5pm Interview Technique £250
•    A range of tips and tricks on how to answer interview questions
•    First impressions
•    Logic games for team interviews

The Easter courses will be held in South London at our office in Balham SW12 9ER. The teachers are all qualified, experienced individuals with years of 11+ knowledge and familiarity with popular local school entry exams.
