Does anyone have a child at Fircroft Primary School? Or is anyone starting Reception there as well?

We don't know very much about this school. Please any information would be welcome!

Thank you.

Don't know anything mused but there were a few threads on here last year I think so worth a search through the old posts. For e.g.:

Hope that helps!

My child has been at Fircroft Primary School for the past two years and we are absolutely delighted with the school. It was our first choice, having visited all the other local schools and we feel so lucky to have got in as the catchment area is very tight. There's a lovely nurturing atmosphere at the school and we've had fantastic teachers since since we've been there. They like to stretch and challenge the children so they achieve their full potential but are also very good at supporting them and providing extra help if needed. There's an active PTA within the school, full of mums who really want the best for their kids. Fircroft hosted a huge ice-skating event earlier this year which was open to the public. Rest assured, you've made a great choice with this school! Thanks!

I have two children at Fircroft and would not hesitate in recommending our school to local parents. We put Fircroft down as our first choice in 2011 when there was a shortage of primary school places and were disappointed at first when our daughter wasn't offered a place at any of the schools we had selected. Thankfully, Fircroft came up trumps and council agreed to add an extra form to that year's intake. And how pleased we were and still are.
Our son is in Reception and has really thrived in the Fircroft environment.
Fircroft is a wonderful community school, with caring teachers (many of which have been at the school for several years) and heads.
The PTA put on a good mixture of events throughout the school year and do a brilliant job fundraising for the school.
Hope this helps :D

My son is in year 4 - and he really enjoys going to and being at school. We have an active football team and cricket will be starting soon. I do think that we are very lucky to have many male staff, which is great for balance.
