Happy Easter

Honeywell and LG, 10000 BTU is suitable for 350 square meters. I placed them in the children's room, the noise is very small, will not disturb their sleep. The cooling effect is also very good. A small air conditioner can have such an effect, I am very satisfied.

I don't have any recommendations although am similarly interested. I have heard that the portable ones are quite noisy and can also get a teeny bit smelly. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks

Hi,

We bought an Electrolux a few years ago and it has been great at cooling the room down, isn’t smelly and she likes the noise - but you have to put the tube outside the window for the air conditioning mode which is annoying. It has a fan setting if you don’t want to use the tube, and a sleep setting, and a thermostat so it’ll cool to a particular temp. It is large but looks ok.

It is a EXP09CN1W7.

Hello, we bought the Delonghi Pinguino EX 100 silent AC units (link below) last year for our two daughters’ small bedrooms in our loft conversion and we are very happy with them. Indeed you have to put the tube out the window but one bedroom has a sash window and the window attachment that comes with the air conditioning unit works very well. Other room is an eaves room with Velux windows so was much trickier but we still manage to use it effectively with a hose extension and some special Velcro stuff around one of the windows which we got from amazon. They aren’t cheap but we decided that was best to get something decent that will last, would be more energy efficient and also less noisy (we were also comparing with installing a full on air conditioning system so obviously relative to that it’s significantly cheaper!). My daughters have had no issues sleeping with it on when the silent mode is activated (to note that there will always be some noise with any AC unit you get even the ones marketed as “silent”). Aesthetically it looks much nicer than some others as the grill is on the back not the top. Also just to bear in mind that if you want to put it away in the winter it has to be stored upright. If you are looking for a solution for an eaves room also recommend installing Velux awning blinds - they are not too expensive and are pretty effective in keeping the heat out so can last a bit longer before needing to switch the AC unit. Hope that helps!

I'd rather pay a higher price, but get something better.
