Victorian Home – New Project Photos

Postby Emma Green Design » Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:53 pm

Emma Green Design recently completed the refurbishment of the double reception room, family kitchen area, master bedroom and guest bedroom of a Wandsworth Victorian home.

On each of my projects I work with clients and fulfil their brief to me.  For this client I created neutral backdrops with a mixture of contemporary and traditional pieces.  For the double reception room, I designed a blue/grey scheme (my client's favourite colours) to enhance a calm feeling.  They wanted part of the room to be an adult only glamorous space and here I designed rich velvet curtains, a comfortable sofa and armchairs with bespoke
fabrics, a glamorous chandelier, a sculptural coffee table. The bespoke blue built in bar completed the look.  For the rear of the room, the colours were continued, but with slightly more contemporary fabrics, as this was to be used as a family media room.  We have a contemporary corner sofa, a beautiful bespoke media unit to house my client's TV, books and vase collection and a link with the same curtains and chandelier.

I also furnished the family area of my client's kitchen and the master and guest bedrooms upstairs, which included bespoke headboards, new storage and soft furnishings.

Please see my website for further pictures and also my instagram page for details of my work.

Very nice and interesting design, although I'd say it would look better in darker colors and if it was a little less modern. I see great potential, but it's not fully to my taste. Maybe others will like it a bit more  :D

Wow, what great photos Emma!  Absolutely stunning.

I just wanted to say that we recently finished a refurb on our Clapham home with Emma and she was a dream come true! She was recommended to us by a friend who she had worked for and was an absolute pleasure to work with, totally transformed our home better than we could have ever imagined and did this in a really calm and professional way (saving us some money too!).

Fantastic work Emma!

Another recommendation for Emma who transformed our rather drab/ rarely-used sitting room, into a wonderful playroom for our children with great details and lots of storage.

The living room feels unfinished and is screaming out for a rug IMO.
Hard surfaces against each other make the room feel less cosy and welcoming.
The rest of the room is nice, especially the bar cabinet.

Dear Nutshell,

Thank you so much for your comments about the makeover of your room to create the playroom for your children.  It was a delight to work with you on this. It was such fun, from my point of view, not only to find and design the bespoke storage solutions for all those toys and games, but to chose such all those fun and stylish accessories and furniture.

I do hope they are all continuing to enjoy it!

Kind regards,

Emma

Heidy,

Thanks so much for your kind comments. Yes the colours are I think subtle in many ways but with some bolder  elements, such as the blue velvet curtains and the red sideboard in the family dining/lounging area.  That's what we're here for, to guide clients through these choices!

Many thanks again

Kind regards,
Emma
