How much do interior design services cost?

Postby coffeepod » Fri Dec 18, 2020 4:17 pm

I am thinking that our 4 bedroom terrace needs an overhaul. No construction needed but the bathrooms, master bed and living spaces need attention especially given a year (almost) of working of home. Could anyone tell me what an interior designer costs and if they charge by room or the hour? Any personal recommendations would be appreciated!

Morning

Just seen your post and wanted to introduce ourselves.  We are an interior design studio based between the commons, mostly working with local families who are looking to find better living solutions for their homes.  We charge hourly and by fixed fee or a combination of both to suit the client and the project.  We currently base our fees on an hourly rate of £60.  We aim for clear and transparent charging that means the client is always aware of, and in control of the budget.  Through clever sourcing we ensure our clients make savings on materials and items, so that we always deliver good value over the project as a whole.

Please take a look at our website studioogee and our Instragram @studioogee which will give you more details on our work.  We develop "Spaces That Tell Stories", spaces that reflect the owners goals and personalities.

Do get back with any questions you may have, and if you're interested we offer a commitment and cost free initial consultation.  Under our trade body guidelines, the BIID say we are able to visit client's property in Tier 4, whilst being Covid safe of course, or if you prefer we can always do meetings via Zoom or Teams.

Regards

Debbie Hawkes and Nicoline Sandwith

We have a different approach than our competitors: if you entrust us with the work, we don't charge for the interior design. E.g. if your project does not require more than 2 /3 days of design we only charge for painting, plumbing, carpentry, flooring. We buy for you materials, furniture and accessories , and we offer you our professional discount and also the sourcing*.  10% handling charge and VAT still apply. If you want a high-end design with very functional materials we can design for 300 a day always on condition that you entrust us with the work.If you only want the design services and realisation from others, we usually charge 540 a day.You have your own taste and aspirations and we like to listen to you, to be inspired.by you and help you achieve your vision. Our job is then to bring your ideas into shape, in harmony and consistency throughout the house. We have in-house craftsmen with incredible attention to detail and well-developed makers and cleaning skills.Everything is done with an emphasis on protection, working with tools connected to hoovers, and we leave you with a clean, beautiful and safe turnkey project. If your are interested please contact us trough the web site : archirenovdesign.com Or call directly Jean Michel  for a free consultation @ 07760 284 880

Hello

That sounds a very exciting 2021 project.  We are a local interior design studio called Studio Ogee.  We responded to the original post in this thread.
