Looking for some leads on a good front door suppliers. 
We are looking for keyless entry as well on the front door but there doesnt seem to be too many suppliers around. 

Any suggestions welcome.

I've had a Yale keyless (different to another model they do called keyfree) lock for years and love it.

It fits to any front door that has a standard daylatch/nightlatch on the back, likely even compatible with your existing latch. So you may not even need a specialist keyless supplier.

I just bought it from their website (they do offer installation there too actually). Installation is a breeze if you're remotely handy. It's drilling one hole of a certain width on top of a paper cut out to mark the spot, then threading some wires through that and otherwise it's just screwing the battery pack and lock to the door.

The lock does code pad entry, or contactless cards, or fobs. If you buy the RF module it can connect to home automation solutions, I used it with Smartthings for a while before Samsung ruined Smartthings. I imagine it integrates with other home automation solutions just as well. Once integrated with a home automation solution you can do things like unlock with phone or 'unlock when'. I've always thought something like 'unlock when my nest cam detects it's my face at the door' would be pretty cool, but still very much on my to-do list!!

I'd be very careful about using keyless locks.

Most of the net linked keyless products are very easily hacked. I mean embarrassingly easy to hack. Really.

This would be a hackers dream. A pile of not very secure stuff interlinked on a home network. What could possibly go wrong?

I am afraid that goes for almost all net connected system from heating controllers to CCTV. There isn't unfortunately any accepted standard for security. And the problem is that hacking attempts get more and more sophisticated and vulnerabilities better and better known. The better companies will employer PEN (Penetration Testers) and publish the summary of the results. 

Firstly I would check with your insurers if any of the product are approved by them.

That way, if something does go wrong, you do have some cover in place.

I’m with OLBC on this.  Having had my Ring doorbell blocked last year, it’s unbelievable how simple it is to hack into these things - a £40 box from Amazon is all it takes!! Thankfully they didn’t get into the house, but blocked it in order to steal something from one of my neighbours and avoid recognition.

Personally I would stick with a good quality latch lock with a secondary deadlock and steel bar around the locks for good measure. Honestly, the security of your home and possessions (let alone the people inside) is far more important than the convenience of not having to lock or unlock your door with a key!!
