So much cat poo in our garden BTC

Postby Dilly Dally » Fri Apr 14, 2023 1:35 pm

Apologies for the nature of this post but recently moved between the commons and my garden seems to be the go to place for cats to poo!
The garden was the main selling point for picking this house over others - perfect for our toddler. I'm so upset. Are we being singled out or is it a general problem in the area?

Can anyone help.....?

Do you have empty flowerbeds as cats love these (as they can easily bury their poo)?  If so, you could try putting mesh across any bare patches as a temporary fix until they are filled with plants.  Some cats are put off by citrus peel so you could try that.  Alternatively, a squirt from a water pistol may put them off, but you’d have to catch them in the act.

Pepper, strongest you can get in bulk. Dogs and cats hate pepper hence pepper spray  to repel dogs and bears. You buy a few pounds/kilos bulk put on face mask and gloves although best done when ground is damp and sprinkle all around the perimeter of your garden  treading it into the ground working inwards. if any left go around the outside just inside your property line again. Problem solved won’t go near the place!
As natural substance will not harm animals and plants.
