I've just come home to find one of these stickers on our letterbox, very small, transparent, almost missed it. Took it off and alerted police via 101. The number on the sticker was the same which appears on the DM website which apparently doesn't work.

Same here. It appeared today on the letterbox - removed it and called the police too which advice us to check on the neighbours and alert them if they have one too. We are in Clapham Old Town.

I found one on my letter box last week, I was worried so called the number suggested by the bbc website and they said that I shouldn't worry, that so so many people have had stickers on their door and nothing has happened they are not even sure its linked to robberies at all anymore. he even suggested it never was?

I then looked down my street and everyone had a sticker !? Talk about subtle.

On top of that my house is very secure, I have a massive rottweiller and Im constantly at home as 38 weeks pregnant.
I think those stickers are nothing to worry about.

We got a sticker on our door this morning.

I'd been looking out for them and checking my door every time I went out.

There wasn't one when I went out at 9am but when I got back at 11am there was a sticker....and a few houses on our road has one too (but not all of them) so it appears that whoever was putting them on was very select?

What's the process now? Should we call police? Have they resolved the mystery of these stickers yet?

All of the doors on our street had that sticker put on their letter boxes. There is no way they could burgle every house? Have they stolen Santas Raindeer? My wife won't stay in the house on her own now. Fear sells alarms!
I reackon it has been done by an alarm company.
I have only seen police in the area once and that was on lavender hill helpling an alarm company sell its expensive products. Outside Asda one Sunday.
The stickers appeared in the following weeks.
Maybe if the police were doing what they are supposed to do instead of being salespeople for private companies, people might believe they were interested in tackling crime and anti social behaviour in the area.
My friend had her buggy stolen and other friends had their front doorlock tampered with. People have stoped reporting crime to the police because the police think the victims don't do enough to prevent the crime.

Yes I had one of these stickers and the number did not exist. Very worrying. :(

We had a sticker too. It was put on our door lock on Friday afternoon between 12-5pm. There were 3 of us in the house at the time so they are clearly putting these on all houses. Our house is very secure. I wouldn't worry too much. Just a good reminder to keep looking out for each other and be a bit nosy if something doesn't look right.
