A bit over my budget since I need a three sweater, a two sweater and a corner sofa for the kitchen but it may be worth waiting for their January sale. I did not think of them and they did not come up first when I googled sofas. So, thank you for the advice!
We have a velvet sofa from Sofa.com which we love. It's stood the test of time really well and still looks and feels great. I remember great customer service as well as a gorgeous showroom on Lots Road if you feel the need to go and take a look (although the online information is good)!
As an interior designer I recommend a sofa manufacturer called Charlotte James who are based up in Scotland. They have their own fab range and have just produced another called Metro which is aimed at clients with smaller budgets. All of the sofas can be made with whatever filling you prefer and in whatever fabric you like which is where I can help as I have a vast range of velvet samples. The turn around is 6 weeks and can be quicker if needs be. I attach my portfolio which contains sofas and other items made by them so you can see the outstanding quality. My contact details are on there also. http://www.nickicox.portfoliobox.me/201 ... d-projects
And finally - this is a sofa made by Charlotte James delivered last week made up in a mixture of velvet and a washable tweed which was a must with 2 children in the house. My client is thrilled as am I!
I sat in a lovely deep pink 3 seater velvet sofa in E & A Wates, near Tooting common. You can also have a sofa made for you - loads of velvet options as standard or have an old one re-covered. www.eawates.com
