Garden-center around Clapham?

Does anyone know where to find a garden-center around Clapham? I'm looking for soil and seeds to grow herbs.

I think garden centres are a bit thin on the ground in the immediate vicinity. B&Q on Smugglers Way sells soil and seeds.

There's a garden centre near Wandsworth Prison - Neal's - on Heathfield Road. It's not easy to get to without a car and is quite expensive but reasonably well stocked.

I'd also recommend Neal's, and yes when we've bought a lot of stuff its handy to have the car but I've also cycled there and also taken the kids in the pram as its very easy to get to just off Wandsworth common.

Neals is excellent - its not cheap but you get the nice warm feeling you are supporting an independent garden centre. Alternatively, compost is cheap at the flower market in Vauxhall, or http://www.wigglywigglers.co.uk is an excellent one stop shop online - again independent.
