Yes.. I have already completed my online survey. Strongly agree to all...10/10.
Very happy with the school... the dedication of ALL of the staff to the Children. I was privately educated up to and including A levels but actually do not see any difference with the quality of my education to the education my son is receiving at Alderbrook. I love the small group teaching. That structure is not something you see in some other well sort after state schools is it?

Loads of people have already replied but I wanted to add I was very apprehensive about sending my daughter to school in general (she's the youngest in her reception class) never mind to Alderbrook. When I told people where we got in someone actually said "Is there really nothing else you can do? This is her education you know!" As a single working mum there wasn't and I have to admit I'm so glad I didn't try to move her.

She is thriving at school - she's happy, her literacy is amazing, she loves all the other kids in her class and is constantly showing me her learning. The teachers are kind, encouraging and very hard working (I've often passed the school around 6pm to still see the reception teachers in there).

My dealings with the head Ms Henry have all been positive and I've always been impressed with the working groups in the higher classes when I've been in the school (15 kids to a teacher in London is amazing).

Not that this is we consider when selecting a school for our child but I have to say I was really surprised by the other parents as well. A friend goes to a local school and "drops and runs" because she doesn't like the other parents! But I've found that drop off/pick up is full of at least smiles and nods but usually full on conversations (and/or coffee) with a variety of parents from hugely different backgrounds and circumstances.

I'm thrilled my daughter is going to a multicultural school which is representative of London and with all the afterschool clubs available she'll be able to try tons of different things as well.

Very happy with Alderbrook!

Not yet, the inspection was yesterday & today.
Outcome will probably be known mid May.
Parent survey looks quite positive though.

Excellent. I did my parent survey and haven't logged back on yet to have a look. I'll have to now.

Possibly lowering the tone slightly, if you've not seen Fascinating Aida's 'Ofsted Song', check it out on You Tube when the kids are in bed.
They have a wonderful alternative to Ofsted's acronym. I'm unable to attach the link due to my technical ineptitude. If you're easily offended or work for Ofsted don't watch it and stop reading this post now. Have you logged off?

Suitable space..........

Ok: OFSTED = Overpaid F**kers Shafting Teachers Every Day.
Apologies for the Daily Mailism there.
Happy Saturday all.
