Home office - broadband/Ethernet connection

Postby HappyWalrus » Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:29 pm

Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good network installation firm/person?

And any experience of this?

We’re setting up a home office in a second floor bedroom and need a hardwired broadband connection: WiFi just isn’t good enough. So I think we need a new socket on the wall and cabling to connect to our current broadband wiring on the ground floor. Does that make sense? We’re not great with technology...

Grateful for any (non-technical) advice.

If you want to try out a cheaper solution, we have a powerline kit, which takes the broadband signal through the electricity ring main. You literally just plug it in, really easy and not expensive.
