I don't get the Monday update any longer - I'm sure this is why I look at it less. I've tried to subscribe again and sent off an e-mail, with no reply. Perhaps this is happening to others as well?

Thanks for listening to the feedback and for making some changes so quickly. I also use the site a lot less. The thing that’s put me off is all the adverts which seem to dominate the site. You almost have to wade through them to find a thread. I much preferred the original layout where the recent posts ran down the side of the screen and the ads were much more discrete.

Thanks Annsw80 and Pud1

for the thumbs up and positive feedback

Re ads its a tricky one. On the old site everything was very small on mobile so we had to change it. Ironically one of our motivations was to make the text for conversations stand out more but to do that we had to move the ads from the sides.

I think we probably got a little over excited re the new ad format and are working on both spreading them out so that they are less intrusive and changing a little more slowly ... we do however love our partners, almost all very local businesses and they help us provide the service that we offer.

Please keep the ideas and feedback coming, it's a great help :)

Thank you

Annabel xx

How can I find an old topic that was discussed? Or where is the "Most read" section? I need to find the sofa recommendations!

Making it compatible with a mobile forum reader like Tapatalk would make it much much easier to use/navigate on a mobile.

Hi Everyone,

The team has been working on some updates and fixes that have now been added to the site!

As you will see one of the most significant updates is the new text editor adding comments, we have also fixed the bug with adding images to posts!

We have also been taken into consideration comments regarding the mobile site and search functionality.
The search box available in the header of the website now allows one global search, instead of the two search options that was previously available.

We have also added a quick reply / start conversation button to the top of the page on mobile to make posting easier.

We have more updates coming soon!

Kind Regards.

Hello,

I must be missing something but I am struggling to figure out how the new search function works.  I want to find some posts about local dentists but when I search 'dentist' or 'recommend dentist' or 'local dentist' all I get is a long series of results that don't seem to have anything to do with dentists.  The top ones are about the Northcote Fete and Film Stars.

Please help!

Thank you for your post, we have updated the search function and we have addresses the issue you were having with searching.

We have also made some improvements aimed at making image uploading easier and simpler when posting and new conversation or replying.

This site has been suggested to me, by a number of friends but only just got around to joining. Looks like I shall have my work cut out, reading all the posts/subjects, that interest me and the family.

Hello, I was looking to reply to a post about French lessons for children in Tooting Bec but I am struggling to find it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the search feature isn't working fully. Thank you for updates.

The search function no longer seems to work. The only results are newsletter results as opposed to users posts.
