Glamping recommendations for 3 families?

Postby SJH Mummy » Thu Jun 28, 2018 7:17 am

Hi there,

We just came back from a brilliant weekend at a featherdown Farm in Alton and want to book something similar for next year.
Struggling to find anything similar with the following:
3 tents (or similar)
All with Loos and showers
Not in Devon Cornwall wales or Somerset - ideally no more than 2 hrs from London
Not crazy £

Any recommendations greatly received!

Hi
We also had a great trip to Featherdown in Hastings which isn't too far but also wanted another weekend even closer and went to Surrey Hills Yurts which although doesn't have toilets and showers in the tents had really good facilitieS very close by and was in a beautiful setting. Can highly recommend!

Hi, have you tried Sunninglye in Kent? Plenty of things for kids to do and lovely location. https://www.childfriendlyescapes.co.uk/ ... -down-farm

You could try Wild Luxury on the Norfolk Coast. They have two glamping camps but the camp which is closest to the beach about a 25 minute walk from the lodges. On site there is Drove Orchards farm shop, Eric’s  upmarket fish bar/restaurant, Shucks yurt restaurant  and Gurneys fish smoker. In the village, a short walk away you will find Thornham deli bistro and 3 great pubs including “Norfolk’s Dining Pub of the Year”. It’s a great place if you want a  quiet beautiful setting but also be able to walk out to places with lots to see and do on the Norfolk coast. Safari lodges are beautiful. www.wildluxury.co.uk
