Can anyone recommend an dermatologist specialised in eczema? My child suddenly developed very bad flare ups and the GP combo of steroids + moisturising won't work in the long term. I'd ideally like a local doctor to avoid having to go all the way to Harley St with a small child.

I’d highly recommend Dr Richard Groves or Dr Emma Benton. Both are great and very experienced. If you have private medical coverage, they are registered with BUPA and other big insurers. Best of luck.

Also you might like to try Child’s Farm Grapefruit & Teatree lotion. Honestly worked miracles on my children (who now don’t get flare ups) and on me (I now only get it a couple of times a year). It’s definitely worth trying as well as seeing a dermatologist. Good luck x

Also, I saw Prof Baifang Zhou a Chinese Wibble Doctor who specialises in skin conditions.  He's based in Beckenham but will do zoom meetings.  0208 650 0751

It's worth getting in to see an expert in this, especially if your child hasn't already had comprehensive allergy tests. Dr. Helen Cox is one of the best specialists in childhood eczema in London, particularly in relation to food and environmental allergies. She sees patients at the Cromwell, so closer than Harley Street.
