WenLin Chinese School is thrilled to announce that one of its hardworking students, Farah Afua King, has been awarded the Top Chinese School Student Award 2024 by the Chinese Information and Advice Centre (CIAC). The award ceremony was held at the prestigious House of Lords and was presented by Baroness Manzila Uddin and The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Robert Rigby. This special honour recognises Farah’s remarkable dedication and achievements in learning Mandarin.
Farah’s journey with WenLin Chinese School began six years ago as a complete beginner, and through consistent hard work, she has blossomed into a confident speaker and writer of Mandarin. Her dedication, perseverance, and passion for learning are a testament to the supportive environment WenLin provides and the commitment of its teachers to each student’s growth.
Rosa Wang, Principal of WenLin Chinese School, shared her pride: “Farah’s progress over the years has been incredible. Her commitment to learning and resilience are truly inspiring, and we are so proud to see her achievements recognised at such a distinguished event.”
Farah’s mother, Belinda, expressed her heartfelt gratitude: “I am so proud of Farah’s journey learning Mandarin at WenLin School. Thank you, Rosa, for making this unforgettable evening possible. It’s a beautiful memory that will be treasured for years.”
The award ceremony also celebrated community volunteers who selflessly contribute to the welfare of others, creating a meaningful evening of appreciation and pride for everyone present.
