Anyone else noticed Waitrose becoming a not very nice place to shop?

The parking at Waitrose is ridiculous, I needed to find a member of staff to give me a piece of paper with a number on …. I think the staff are great and helpful but it just feels tired inside.
Chadwick’s - no idea about their views on cycle lanes etc but my experience on 3 occasions (glutton for punishment) was awful - looks great but meat went off, tough etc. I spoke to them about it and was basically told I was lying - extraordinary. Will never go there again!

Regarding Chadwick’s, if I want some nice quality meat I tend to make the journey to Duggard and Daughters because of Chadwick’s absolute insane Twitter. A quick google will bring it up, but essentially it’s full of absolutely wild conspiracy nonsense like chemtrails and Covid being fake to antisemitism, sexism and homophobia. Before I came across the Twitter the staff were also always grumpy, too, and the meat only so so.

Spookily accurate. It’s like meeting Miss Marple. Except that I haven’t heard of any vendetta and don’t have a bike. Other than that, you are bang on the money.

Waitrose staff in balham are excellent, always have been. except for the gestapo on the self service tills who likes to nitpick anything im buying them goes & it sooo lovely to other ppl. she clearly doesnt like me. i got there for specific things, not as much as i used to.

tesco clapham south is ace as its always empty. the staff are miserable as anything tho. specific ones i wont even ask anything even if i needed to.
